Friends of Fetal Care Center

The Friends of the Fetal Care Center is a group of individuals consisting of past families and current staff of the Fetal Care Center of Cincinnati. This group was developed when previous patients expressed a desire to assist in decreasing the level of isolation, stress and uncertainties that each patient seen through the Fetal Care Center may experience.

Participants in the Friends of the Fetal Care Center hope to ensure that each patient / family is aware that they are not alone in their journey and that others have experienced similar journeys before them. Knowing that several families must travel across the country and leave behind their support system, our group aspires to provide support and comfort items to the families, in addition to the psychosocial services provided by the Fetal Care Team.

Some of the activities the Friends of Fetal Care Center are involved in include:

  • Preparing care packages of comfort items for inpatients
  • Creating a video and periodical library for patient use
  • Purchasing gas cards and food vouchers for patients in need
  • Join the Fetal Care Center of Cincinnati for Cincinnati Walks for Kids.Organizing a team for the Cincinnati Walks in order to raise awareness of the Fetal Care Center of Cincinnati and to assist in funding future projects
